Once you book your appointment, you will be sent a detailed pre-appointment questionnaire to complete before your consultation. This includes your symptoms, medical history, medications, lifestyle factors, and a menopause symptom score questionnaire, which helps us monitor symptoms and track progress over time.
Your consultation is designed to give you time to talk through your symptoms properly and explore how menopause may be affecting your health, wellbeing, work, relationships, sleep, mood, and quality of life.
Together, we will discuss a personalised management plan, which may include:
Hormonal and non-hormonal treatment options
Lifestyle medicine approaches
Support for long term health and wellbeing
Further investigations where appropriate
Menopause is usually a clinical diagnosis, and most women do not routinely require blood tests. However, some women may benefit from blood tests or further investigations depending on their age, symptoms, or medical history.
For some women, additional support with metabolic health and weight management may be appropriate, including GLP-1 medications where clinically suitable as part of a broader lifestyle-based approach.
Prescriptions, investigations, and referrals may be recommended where appropriate and will always be discussed with you during your consultation.
