Whole Person Menopause Care

Grounded in Lifestyle Medicine, Designed Around You.

Menopause can affect your quality of life in ways that are often underestimated—impacting your work, relationships, and how you feel within yourself. Many women are left trying to make sense of these changes on their own, unsure what is normal or aware of the longer-term impact on their health.

I’m a GP with over 18 years of experience, a menopause specialist trained through the College of Sexual and Reproductive Healthcare (CoSRH), a lifestyle medicine practitioner, and SCOPE-certified in weight management. I am also a member of the British Menopause Society.

My approach combines medical care with lifestyle medicine—looking at nutrition, movement, sleep, and stress alongside treatment where needed.

Where appropriate, I incorporate evidence-based options, including HRT and testosterone, always tailoring decisions to your individual needs.

I support women through perimenopause and menopause, including those with more complex needs such as menopause after cancer, women with PCOS, and women from diverse cultural backgrounds.

As a long-distance runner, I value sustainable habits—and bring that same philosophy into my care.

Consultations are available online and in person, with time to listen and create a plan that works for your life.

Care here is evidence-based, personalised, and built around you.

Frequently Asked Questions

Question 1: How do I make an appointment?

You can book directly through the website using the online booking system. If you have any questions before booking, you’re welcome to get in touch.

Question 2: Do I need a GP referral?

No referral is needed. You can book directly.

Question 3: Are appointments face-to-face or online?

Consultations are available both online and in person, depending on your preference.

Question 4: How long is the initial consultation?

The initial consultation is 45 minutes. Before your appointment, you will be sent a detailed pre-consultation questionnaire. This helps gather important background information in advance, allowing us to use your consultation time more effectively. During the appointment, we will go through your symptoms in detail, discuss any relevant investigations, and explore treatment options—including lifestyle approaches and medication where appropriate.

Question 5: How long is a follow-up consultation?

Follow-up consultations are 30 minutes, focusing on reviewing progress and adjusting your plan as needed.

Question 6: How much does a new consultation cost?

The initial consultation fee is £240.

Question 7: How much does a follow-up consultation cost?

Follow-up consultations are £150.

Question 8: What is menopause and how do I know if I’m in it?

Menopause is a natural stage of life when hormone levels change and periods eventually stop. Many women experience symptoms during perimenopause, even while still having periods. Diagnosis is usually based on your symptoms and history rather than blood tests alone.

Question 9: I’m not sure if my symptoms are related to menopause—can you still help?

Yes. Symptoms such as fatigue, low mood, poor sleep, brain fog, or weight changes can have multiple causes. A detailed consultation helps to understand what’s happening and what support may help.

Question 10: Can menopause affect weight and metabolism?

Yes. Hormonal changes can influence how your body stores fat, appetite, and energy levels. My approach focuses on sustainable lifestyle changes alongside medical support where appropriate. As part of this, I am SCOPE-certified in weight management and can discuss evidence-based options, including GLP-1 treatments, where suitable.

Question 11: I have PCOS—can you still help me?

Yes. PCOS and menopause can overlap in complex ways, particularly around hormones, weight, and metabolic health. Care is tailored to your individual needs.

Question 12: I have ADHD—can you help me?

Yes. Hormonal changes can affect focus, mood, and emotional regulation. Support is adapted with this in mind.

Question 13: I have PMDD—can you help?

Yes. Hormonal sensitivity can continue into perimenopause. A personalised approach can help manage symptoms more effectively.

Question 14: I’ve had a previous blood clot—can I still have treatment?

Yes. Your history will be carefully reviewed, and safe, appropriate options—both hormonal and non-hormonal—can be discussed.

Question 15: I’ve had breast cancer or gynaecological cancer—can you help me?

Yes. Menopause after cancer can be particularly challenging. Support focuses on safe, evidence-based options, working alongside your existing care where needed.

Question 16: Do you support women from different cultural backgrounds?

Yes. I have a particular interest in menopause and ethnic diversity and have delivered workshops and education in this area. Menopause can be experienced and understood differently across cultures, and care is tailored with sensitivity to your background, beliefs, and individual needs.

Question 17: What if I’m not sure where to start?

That’s completely fine. Many women come feeling unsure or overwhelmed. The first consultation is designed to give you time to talk through your symptoms and concerns, and to help you make sense of what’s happening—so we can decide together on the best way forward.

Question 18: Do I need to prepare anything before my appointment?

You don’t need to prepare anything in detail. You will receive a pre-appointment questionnaire beforehand, which helps us make the most of your consultation time. It can also be helpful to think about your main concerns, any medications you are taking, and what you would like help with.
